July 4th Events in the 27th District

As we approach the Fourth of July, I would like to wish you a happy, safe holiday weekend.  There are a number of great events happening around the district.

27th District Celebrations Include:

Caldwell, Essex Fells, and Roseland will hold a jointly sponsored event at James Caldwell High School, 265 Westville Ave., West Caldwell.  Gates open at 7pm with entertainment and fireworks begin at dusk. Cost is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children.

The Grover Cleveland Birthplace Memorial will be hosting an ice cream social starting at 1pm.

Chatham will be hosting a fun-filled day of events, beginning with a parade that will step off at 10:30am on the corner of Main Street and Hillside Ave. and proceed west to Chatham Middle School.  The firework display will start at dark and be held at Chatham Middle School, 480 Main Street, Chatham.  Gates open at 7pm with entertainment.

East Hanover will hold a celebration at Lurker Park off of Ridgedale Avenue. Music and food vendorJuly_4th_Fireworks.jpgs open at 8pm with fireworks starting at 9:15pm.

Florham Park has a fun day of activities starting with a parade at 9:30am at the corner of Ridgedale Ave. and Brooklake Road, followed by a family picnic on the Borough Hall Lawn, before ending with fireworks at 8:15pm.

Livingston will also have an all day celebration starting at 9am with the annual auto show and capping off the night with fireworks at 9:15pm at Memorial Oval, S. Livingston Ave., Livingston.  Please click the link for a detailed list of all the events!

A 5K race starts Maplewood's full day of activities at Memorial Park at 7:30am and finishes the day with fireworks at 9pm.

Millburn begins the day with festivities at Taylor Park at 9am, before activities move to Millburn High School at 3pm and culminate with fireworks at dusk.  Tickets are $10.00.

South Orange has a variety of family fun activities planned at the pool.

In West Orange the the Lefty Boland Fun Meet kicks off at the West Orange High School, 51 Conforti Avenue at 6:30pm and features races, pony rides, a kids zone, and fireworks at dusk.
