As we approach the Fourth of July, Ann and I would like to wish you a happy, safe holiday weekend.  There are a number of great events happening around the district, from fireworks to festivals to parades.

27th District Celebrations include:

Caldwell, Essex Fells, and Roseland will have fireworks at James Caldwell High School Friday at 7:00pm.

The Grover Cleveland Birthplace will also be hosting an ice cream social at noon.

Chatham will be holding a parade stepping off Friday at 9:30am.

Florham Park will start the day with a parade stepping off at 9:30am, followed by a town picnic, before ending with fireworks at 8:15pm.There will be fireworks in East Hanover beginning at 8:00pm at Lurker Park.

Livingston will also have an all day celebration capped with fireworks at the Memorial Oval.

A 5K race starts Maplewood's full day of activities at Memorial Park.

Millburn starts the day with an All-Star softball game and town fair at Taylor Park, before fireworks at Millburn High School.

In West Orange, the Lefty Boland Fun Meet begins at West Orange High School, and features races, a kids zone, and fireworks.

Wherever you go in the 27th District, there are opportunities for a great holiday.  Happy Independence Day!
