Hi. Please tell me why I as a citizen of New Jersey paying full freight for my kid to attend college should give a dime to help the parents of those who are here ILLEGALLY to pay for their kids’ college? How is that in my best interest? Are you really so desperate for a new constituency that you will throw your own citizens under the bus to curry favor with those who you see as future Democrat voters? Can you really be that grotesquely cynical? Do you crave power so blindly that you are willing to screw your own LEGAL constituents just to accrue it? Politics is indeeed the refuge of the mediocre and mendacious isn’t it? And by the way you looked like a Murphy sock puppet onnTV tonight. Getting tired of my state being run by inferior men with superior ambitions.

Politicians with your beliefs on illegal immigration are exactly what’s wrong with New Jersey. I and many other residents will be thinking seriously about moving out of NJ. I do not want to live in a sanctuary state and pay high taxes to subsidize these people rather than helping our own citizens in need. You drink the koolaid and are not a free thinker. NJnis not the state Inwant to call home if politicians like you get your unfair policies passed. Shame on NJ, and shame on you. Disgusted, Madeline and Joe Monaco

Dear Assemblyman McKeon: On behalf of residents and clients of JESPY House, I urge you to do everything in your power to prevent DDD reimbursement cuts for vital services to the disabled including rent, food and transportation.

I have tried in vain to get in touch with you. You once said my late husband, Herb Schwartz, was the Secret Jewel of New Jersey. He was a NJ public school teacher for 36 years; Artist for the White House and Poster Artist for two years when the Clintons were in office; created three award winning cows (Yogi Berra Yankee Cow, NJ Devil’s Cow, Washington Redskins’ Cow) . Herb raised over $1,000,000 for charities; created the Edison miniature egg representing NJ; displayed fiberglass eggs with artists from NJ on the lawn of the White House during the Bush administration. He was a remarkable human being. I need help finding a venue to honor his memory and allow his last wish of a retrospective be fulfilled. He touched the lives of many and students from all over the country have asked to see his work and pay their respects. Will you honor him and me with help and a reply? Tal Schwartz

I read your name in the NY Times today where speculation was you might consider a run against Rodney Frelinghuysen. My contribution is a simple jester to demonstrate how many people are out there ready to support a viable candidate in the 11th district. Josh Gottheimer did in the 5th district in 2016 and you can do in the 11th. I know the numbers are challenging but the time is unique.

Assemblyman McKeon’s name was mentioned as a possible candidate to run against Rodney Frelinghuysen for the U.S. House of Representatives. Given the recent vote to repeal ACA, I believe that it is time to find a replacement representative. Should he choose to run, I hope that Mr. McKeon will be more connected with our districts moderate views on the environment and affordable health care than the seemingly out of touch Mr. Frelinghuysen.

Also hope that Mr. McKeon will show a little more character than he did on the issue of NJ Alimony reform where he and his (miserable) colleague Ms Mila Jasey supported the preservation of indentured servitude and the ability to put NJ citizens in debtors prison for failure to meet lifetime (yes forever) alimony requirements. Shame on you both.

    Assemblyman McKeon,

I am writing to you as an educator and a school librarian. I am asking you to support Bill A4500 that was introduced in the NJ Legislature in January. It would require certain ratios of school library media specialists to students in public schools. In this age of information overload, media specialists have been specially trained to teach students how to find, evaluate and use information ethically and responsibly. Additionally, with so much technology in children’s lives, a librarian who is connected to the students in his/her school can be the person to place that one book in the hands of a child that lights the reading spark.

    Thank you.

Hi, I am Herb Schwartz’s widow. Herb was the wonderful artist, teacher, Artist on the Lawn n Poster artist for The White House during the Clinton administration. He created the West Orange cows,; Yogi Berra cow, Washington Red Skins cow n NJ Devils cow. U honored him at the Manor during ur State of the Union address as “the secret jewel of NJ”. Herb also did the egg representing the State of NJ depicting Thomas Edison’s inventions, which is in the White House archives. He taught public school in Caldwell for 31 yrs n raised over $1,000,000 for charities. He ran an art school for 13 yrs in Caldwell n had a non profit that taught art n art history in the schools.

Herb passed away five yrs ago on Xmas morning n the loss is terrible. We have been living in West Orange for over thirty yrs. I am moving the end of March. During the last few wks of his life, he said he would like to have a retrospective of his work. He is still loved by so many n touched the lives of children that have gone on successfully in the world of art. I would like to donate a piece of his artwork n possibly honor his memory w a show. It would be shameful to pack up his works of art n let him be forgotten. I can be reached by phone/text 973-493-8644 or I would be happy to email u pictures of his work n accomplishments. Thanks for reading this n all ur good work in government during this most difficult time! Tal Schwartz

You want to make it so all future candidates running for President and Vide president have to release their tax returns, if you do that you must make it for all elected officials in the State of NJ, you can not discriminate against 2 people running for national office. Get your act together and find a way to lower NJ taxes and stop wasting time on this frivolous crap.

    Good morning,

I’d like to know how much in campaign contributions Mr. McKeon received from bail bond companies? Since he attempted to roll back reforms in bail, I’m assuming he received money from them. Could you please explain this? I will be spreading the news of your proposed bill to Essex County voters.

    Thank you

    Dear Assemblyman McKeon,

I’m concerned about an editorial I read in this morning’s Star-Ledger regarding the posting of legal advertisements on local government web sites. Now, more than ever, we need newspapers and a strong press to be watch dogs for the citizenry. Many newspapers will have to pull back if they lose this revenue.

Furthermore, there continue to be many people who do not have access to the internet – the old and the poor- and depend on newspapers for their information. The bill will deprive these people of their ability to access information they have a right to.

Please do what you can to stop the passing of this bill. Thank you.

Disappointed that you voted YES to the gas hike. It’s sad that Democrats say they are for the middle class but would vote for an increase that would hurt so many middle class working people. This was not a fair compromise and you should have pushed back on Cristie for a fairer compromise. The only people this bill benefits are the wealthy and the poor.

There can be no legitimate justification for some NJ schools to receive as much as $33,699 per pupil from the state. Where is the oversight, who accounts for these expenditures? This is a biased and obviously failed practice. There must be corruption/kickbacks involved since the funding isn’t connected to results! Stop this unjust and unfair waste of our tax money.

    Hey John,

I’m Effie from Perspectivo, a startup with a new concept. I was intrigued by your online content and thought you might be interested in checking us out before everyone else does.

At Perspectivo you’ll find goals with networks of people around these goals. A goal can be anything you need or want to do, from starting a new online business to planning the perfect first date. When you pick a goal you encounter insights from people who have “been there” and you’ll instantly have access to new people who want to do this goal, are doing it or have already done it. You can easily learn what you and they have in common and connect.

I assume that you have a lot on your plate and time is short, I feel that way everyday… but that’s why Perspectivo is so great – you don’t need to invest time or make an effort to build a network that means to you. We do that for you!

You can also benefit from adding insights because every time you add an insight to a goal, you can link to your own online content. It’s a great way for you to add a link to your content in a place where people who really need it can use it. But equally important is the fact that you will help others who will put your experience to good use.

I invite you to be a part of something meaningful. Check us out at

    Good Afternoon Assemblyman McKeon,

I heard that A3876 was introduced in the Assembly about a week ago that would change the age for casino gambling to 18. I was wondering if you could help with this as it seems absurd that an adult of this age can serve in the armed forces and yet not be able to participate in a game of blackjack. California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Minnesota, Oklahoma, New York, Michigan, and Rhode Island have all done this. I also have here three links that appear to explain that senior citizens seem to have higher problem gambling rates than other segments of the population including young people. These take place in Canada where the age is 19 and in Rhode Island where the age is 18. This could serve as evidence against those who are concerned about problem gambling.

I also found this online. According to this poll, an overwhelming majority of 91% think that it should be 18. Have a great day!😊😊😊👍👍👍

    Have a great day!!!😊😊😊

John: several weeks ago I contacted you and asked if you would look into the long delay that the NJ State Board of Architects takes to investigate illegal practice of the profession. I have been told that this is a budget problem and since the Gov. is busy running for President and has no intention of raising taxes to fund regulating Boards, I am asking you to look into this not on my behalf, but on the behalf of over 7 million NJ Consumers.

I received today from the NJ State Board of Architects (after 18 months) a Consent Order of suspension of License and a large fine issued to Albert Birch, Jr., RA who had signed and sealed drawings that were prepared by a Mr. Claude Jones who is not an architect. In fact the drawings that he prepared were incomplete and done so poorly that had the project been approved and gone ahead, most certainly there would have been a building collapse. After the drawings were deemed complete by the Zoning Officer, Mr. Jones then appeared before the West Orange ZBA, to offer up testimony on behalf of his client. He lied under oath that he was an architect since 1976 with a so called limited practice in several urban communities east and south of WO. The ZBA did not approve the project based on the fact that the Chairwoman at the time was suspicious of Mr. Jones’ credentials.

Please look into why the NJ State Board of Architects took 18 months to investigate this case. There is something (besides just budget concerns) as to why

a clear black and white issue of illegal practice that this was took as long as it did to be resolved.

If you or one of your assistants need to reach me, I can be contacted on my cell at (973) 902-4900 or by E-mail at

    Thank you
