Also hope that Mr. McKeon will show a little more character than he did on the issue of NJ Alimony reform where he and his (miserable) colleague Ms Mila Jasey supported the preservation of indentured servitude and the ability to put NJ citizens in debtors prison for failure to meet lifetime (yes forever) alimony requirements. Shame on you both.
I am writing to you as an educator and a school librarian. I am asking you to support Bill A4500 that was introduced in the NJ Legislature in January. It would require certain ratios of school library media specialists to students in public schools. In this age of information overload, media specialists have been specially trained to teach students how to find, evaluate and use information ethically and responsibly. Additionally, with so much technology in children’s lives, a librarian who is connected to the students in his/her school can be the person to place that one book in the hands of a child that lights the reading spark.
Thank you.

Herb passed away five yrs ago on Xmas morning n the loss is terrible. We have been living in West Orange for over thirty yrs. I am moving the end of March. During the last few wks of his life, he said he would like to have a retrospective of his work. He is still loved by so many n touched the lives of children that have gone on successfully in the world of art. I would like to donate a piece of his artwork n possibly honor his memory w a show. It would be shameful to pack up his works of art n let him be forgotten. I can be reached by phone/text 973-493-8644 or talibschwartz@hotmail.com I would be happy to email u pictures of his work n accomplishments. Thanks for reading this n all ur good work in government during this most difficult time! Tal Schwartz
I’d like to know how much in campaign contributions Mr. McKeon received from bail bond companies? Since he attempted to roll back reforms in bail, I’m assuming he received money from them. Could you please explain this? I will be spreading the news of your proposed bill to Essex County voters.
Thank you
I’m Ajay Bihani from webtechcoupons.com. I’ve been cleaning up my website, and I would like your help in removing some links from your site. I’m just trying to streamline all the links that are leading to my website.
Here’s the page where my link: http://www.johnfmckeon.com/volunteer?page=1
Here’s the link you’ve referred to: http://www.webtechcoupons.com/offers/acronis/
It would be great if you could remove the link and let me know, so I can make a note of it.
Hoping to hear from you soon. Thank you!
Best Regards

I’m concerned about an editorial I read in this morning’s Star-Ledger regarding the posting of legal advertisements on local government web sites. Now, more than ever, we need newspapers and a strong press to be watch dogs for the citizenry. Many newspapers will have to pull back if they lose this revenue.
Furthermore, there continue to be many people who do not have access to the internet – the old and the poor- and depend on newspapers for their information. The bill will deprive these people of their ability to access information they have a right to.
Please do what you can to stop the passing of this bill. Thank you.
Respectfully,
Eileen Leonard

I’m Effie from Perspectivo, a startup with a new concept. I was intrigued by your online content and thought you might be interested in checking us out before everyone else does.
At Perspectivo you’ll find goals with networks of people around these goals. A goal can be anything you need or want to do, from starting a new online business to planning the perfect first date. When you pick a goal you encounter insights from people who have “been there” and you’ll instantly have access to new people who want to do this goal, are doing it or have already done it. You can easily learn what you and they have in common and connect.
I assume that you have a lot on your plate and time is short, I feel that way everyday… but that’s why Perspectivo is so great – you don’t need to invest time or make an effort to build a network that means to you. We do that for you!
You can also benefit from adding insights because every time you add an insight to a goal, you can link to your own online content. It’s a great way for you to add a link to your content in a place where people who really need it can use it. But equally important is the fact that you will help others who will put your experience to good use.
I invite you to be a part of something meaningful. Check us out at www.perspectivo.com.
Cheers,
Effie

I heard that A3876 was introduced in the Assembly about a week ago that would change the age for casino gambling to 18. I was wondering if you could help with this as it seems absurd that an adult of this age can serve in the armed forces and yet not be able to participate in a game of blackjack. California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Minnesota, Oklahoma, New York, Michigan, and Rhode Island have all done this. I also have here three links that appear to explain that senior citizens seem to have higher problem gambling rates than other segments of the population including young people. These take place in Canada where the age is 19 and in Rhode Island where the age is 18. This could serve as evidence against those who are concerned about problem gambling.

I also found this online. According to this poll, an overwhelming majority of 91% think that it should be 18. Have a great day!😊😊😊👍👍👍

Would Assemblyman McKeon introduce this legislation to the Assembly and work actively to get it passed?
Thank you.
I received today from the NJ State Board of Architects (after 18 months) a Consent Order of suspension of License and a large fine issued to Albert Birch, Jr., RA who had signed and sealed drawings that were prepared by a Mr. Claude Jones who is not an architect. In fact the drawings that he prepared were incomplete and done so poorly that had the project been approved and gone ahead, most certainly there would have been a building collapse. After the drawings were deemed complete by the Zoning Officer, Mr. Jones then appeared before the West Orange ZBA, to offer up testimony on behalf of his client. He lied under oath that he was an architect since 1976 with a so called limited practice in several urban communities east and south of WO. The ZBA did not approve the project based on the fact that the Chairwoman at the time was suspicious of Mr. Jones’ credentials.
Please look into why the NJ State Board of Architects took 18 months to investigate this case. There is something (besides just budget concerns) as to why
a clear black and white issue of illegal practice that this was took as long as it did to be resolved.
