In response to NJTRANSIT nearing a full roster of train engineers after welcoming 17 engineering graduates this week, Assemblyman John McKeon (D-Essex, Morris) issued the following statement:
“Congratulations to the new graduates who will be joining NJTRANSIT’s ranks as locomotive engineers. Over the past few years, great strides have been made in increasing the number of engineers who can provide transportation to the millions of New Jerseyans who rely on NJTRANSIT.
“I applaud the Governor and NJTRANSIT leadership for their dedication to steadily expanding our state’s roster of engineers. Fairly soon, we will have the ideal amount of locomotive engineers to provide the reliable public transportation our residents deserve.”
